We are asking each entry to register to get information about the float to announce, as it passes by.
Please submit entry by July 15. Parade Route.
Categories for Prizes: Best Car, Pickup, or Any Vehicle not pulling a trailer ($100), Best Semi Truck ($100), Best Tractor ($100), Best Decorated Float (vehicle pulling a decorated trailer) ($100), Best Decorated Bike, Lawnmower, 4-wheeler, Motorcycle, or Horse ($100) And Best in Show Overall ($200).
Winners will be announced during the Celebration Meal.
QUILT SHOW
The Quilt Show is Saturday, July 18. Enter your Quilt to be on display at the Show. It must have some connection to Burdett, either made by you, someone that lives in the Burdett area, or used to live in the Burdett area.
Quilt Entry Form You will receive more details and information after your form is submitted.
Prizes will awarded for the following categories: Best of Show ($100), Oldest and Newest ($100 each). Each Quilt will need to be entered separately with all entries submitted by June 30.
Presentations During the Quilt Show
2PM – A Prairie Tradition: Creating Modern Heirlooms by Lori (Price) Finney, Author and Fiber Artist, 6th Generation Quilter
4PM – Prairie Friendships: Stories of Burdett Women (Signature Quilt) by Janette (Mostrom) Friesen, Genealogy Enthusiast.
Attendees at each presentation will have an opportunity to win a copy of Heirloom Quilts Coloring Book: Comfy and Cozy Patterns by Lori Finney.
Burdett 150 Signature Quilt Commemoration
To commemorate the Burdett 150 celebration, signatures will be collected from attendees to create a Burdett 150 Signature Quilt. Please make plans to participate

A third history book is being written about Burdett. Visit the Historical Display at the Celebration for information about the book. The book will be made available digitally.
